Study Books

Has anyone ever used the books LPN Notes or the Med Surg Notes? Just something to stick in my pocket for clinicals to read at lunch and such.

I have some of the "notes" books as PDFs on my phone (formerly on my Palm Pilot).

I actually printed out hard copies and kept in a reference binder along with other resources.

They're decent little guides but I didn't use them nearly as much as I'd expected.

I have the LPN Notes. I used it regularly at clinicals and loved that it was sized perfectly to fit in my scrubs pocket. I prefer the apps I have on my phone but I had clinical instructors who did not allow phones to be used to look things up and that's where my LPN Notes was especially helpful.

That's what my thought was too. They also don't allow that as well. I am sure they will not mind the book though.

Check with your clinical instructor. We are told it is better to have the apps for clinicals. Everyone is different.
