Students Accepted to GPC Fall 09

Just found out that there will be 156 students in the Fall class and that no classes will be held on Lawrenceville campus - everything is in Clarkston...

Glad to hear the class is so small. I was expecting over 200. Any reason as to why no classes will be in Lawrenceville. Is it because the Gwinnett Tech program starts this semester?

Gwinnett College took over the campus and "kicked" out GPC......from what I understand - GPC was paying rent and was hoping to have the building and labs one more year....

Gwinnett Tech might have something to do with it and lab space....not sure..... It will be a much longer commute for me now - not too happy with the news:(

I got a letter from GPC today explaining the situation.

i too was accepted for fall 2009, and just received the letter explaining no lawrenceville campus next semester. i am very disappointed because i am now looking at a 60 mile commute each way. i really wish they would have know a long time ago because i would have applied someone where else if i was going to have to drive that far.

Hopefully we will be able to set up some carpools! I live close to 85 Hamilton Mill , exit 120..... where will you be coming from?

I guess time in the car to study - by listening to lectures???? trying to think positive...

I live in Bethlehem on 11 and 316. I don't think we are close, but I am not familar with GA yet.

Has anyone done their CPR training yet? If so, where did you go to do it?

I live over in Smyrna off of I-75. I have not taken my CPR class but I was going to try to take it with "Executive CPR and First Aid" when I get paid next.

p421clcp...I took my CPR class with Executive CPR and First Aid. The people there are really nice and the class doesn't last as long as they initially tell you.

What is everyone doing to pre prepare for the fall? Any tips or hints??? I'm just trying to clean my house top to bottom, declutter, get Christmas shopping done, maybe even do Christmas cards - at least address them??? Cleaning out closets and trying to purchase anything ahead of time that someone in my family might need for the fall.....

Has anyone bought a stethoscope yet? suggestions??

Has anyone purchased their uniforms yet?

The only think I have bought are the books. I probably need to order the Uniform soon. Is anyone buying there stethoscope from the same place as the uniforms? I am thinking about buying off the web, so I can get a different color other than black or purple. Also, What type are you thinking about buying? I was thinking about the Littmann Classic II S.E.
