Struggling NCLEX :(

Hi. Im a new immigrant from the Philippines and currently taking care of my sick auntie for the past 11 months since I came here. I am down since. I saw my other family (who immigrated also) succeed and having money, job and going to parties and enjoying life while me stuck in my room studying nclex and going out only to eat, shower, care for my aunt for 12 hours straight and going to the library (which I do everyday). To be honest, I am jealous but I have to keep it for myself and suppress that feeling coz there is other things that I should worry about like my nclex. I failed the first time I took it. I felt like I am cursed and I am very depressed. Now, I am taking my nclex again for the second time tomorrow. I've been crying for 2 weeks every night thinking for tomorrow's exam. I wish I will pass and uplift myself but the more I dream about it, the more it seems impossible. I dont know what to do. Can you guys give me advice or something? If a fail, what should I do next? :(

    Aww! I truly understand how you feel. I'm on the same boat. I failed with my first try and now trying to build up myself to get it on my second try. But you know what? I think all of these has its own purpose, maybe it's not yet our time to carry the big responsibility and we have to learn more so when the time comes then we will be more ready and become a better nurse. Let's just be positive and keep praying to Papa God. Btw I am a Filipino as well, living in Japan with my husband who is in military and now I went back to the Philippines and enrolled in a review center which I think is good but sometimes I can't help to think "what ifs" too. But I am trying to be strong as much as I can especially the test is so expensive and I can't afford to fail again, so lets do our best to study as much as we can but don't forget to unwind and take a break sometimes, because we need that too. God bless us and we can do this! :)

    Cheer up.. It's hard but you have to stay positive and stay motivated and yes always pray. Failing doesn't mean it's over it's just an opportunity to pick yourself up again and keep trying. So many people fail and try again and what would happen to this world if anyone that failed stopped trying?

    Refocus and tell yourself "I can do this."

    What helped me was Kaplan course ( do atleast 100 questions per day), 35 page study guide and the Lacharity PDA book. Study hard and don't worry about who's partying you can party and celebrate when you pass' :)

    Good luck! Remain calm.. Take deep breaths before starting and don't let negative thoughts enter your mind. Tell yourself you can do this! And I can assure YOU CAN!
