Stress testing question

Hello, What is general process for who inserts the PIVs in outpt Stress Testing Labs? I came into a practice where NMTs and RNs both place them but the tech seems to be placing most of them in. Mostly due to a lack of a consistent process is not in place. It is based on individual nurses and what they feel works for them that day. I am not sure if I should split the PIVs 50/50 or just have the RNs do them all and have the tech as a back up. Thank you for the suggestions:)

What is your facility's policy for placing peripheral IV's (PIV) + Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)?  30 states require a license with individual licensing requirements --what are your states regs?

Use those as guidelines re who should be placing PIV along with clinical condition of patient, already established IV access (has implanted IV access, fistula etc.).

Since the NM techs were administering the isotope, they placed all out-patient PIVs, AND (per policy) removed all those IVs after the exam, to discard in protected containers (due to possible residual isotope in the IV).
