Stony Brook Basic BSN Class of 2022

Hi everyone!! I decided I should start a thread for this year’s applicants so we can keep each other updated and answer questions.

I applied last year as well and was waitlisted, so if you have any questions I’d be happy to help!

Good luck everyone!!

Oh I know. I sent my application in 2 days ago and I’m already anxious to hear an update. ?

Wishing us all the best of luck! Did anyone apply elsewhere?

I will be applying to Suffolks LPN to RN if I do not get in

Tbh the appealing thing about the requirements for Stony Brook sort of put me at a weird position where alot of schools pre-recs don't line up neatly.

I'm planning on applying to LIU but I am open ears to other programs with similar pre recs to Stony Brook

I’m going try hard into SUNYs schools because of the tuition. SUNY schools way cheaper. Apply everywhere. The most important is to get your feet in. The main thing is to get the RN license. When you have the RN license you can finish your BS in nursing even online. SB, Farmingdale and Empire State college which are SUNY schools, they have RN to BSN online which are good programs meanwhile you can start earning your Nurse salary while finishing up your BSN. Keep all possibilities open and never give up.

Hey everyone!! This thread is for the two year bsn right??

@Em6217 correct! Welcome!

Hello everyone!

I submitted my app just a week ago, and let me tell you, I am so anxious!

I wasn't on planning on applying this year (this is my second time-got rejected last year from SB and a couple of other institutions), but felt the need to because I really want to become a nurse. I have to keep trying, no matter the route, to reach my goal.

Wishing everyone here the best of luck! Fingers crossed for everyone!

Hi guys! I just applied and submitted my app on the 8th. Did anybody hear back about interviews yet?!

Hi! I submitted mine on the 7th and still haven't heard anything either. I'm pretty sure the applications last year were due on the 3rd and they heard back the 14th. So by that logic we should hear back the 20th? I'm so anxious!?

Hey since you applied last year, Do you remember how did the scheduling go for in regards to the Interview process.

Did they have a variety of days and times, or was it strictly during the week and in the day?

They give you a scheduler online to sign up for a day/time. They are during the week and during the day but you do get a variety of times and days to choose from. I think interviews may go on for two weeks. Be sure to sign up soon after you get the email so you get a time/day you want!

Hi did anyone receive any notice
