Stethoscopes :)

Hey everyone :)

I just won (I was battling for a while lol) a Brand New Littmann Master Classic II Stethoscope for 50.00 dollars on ebay and it comes with a 3 yr warranty (oh how I do love that site). I was wondering if I got it for a reasonable price. Is it a good Littman for a nursing student? Also, if anyone has one do they like it, etc? I'm a new nursing student and getting things together. So just wondering if I made a sound investment. Also, can anyone tell me if I can get these ingraved and who does this. Can you change the tube to a different color and if so where can you buy those? Thanks much! :)

I've got one of those...my step-mom gave it to me when I started school. :) I love it.

Sounds like a decent price too...I've seen them for $70 & $80

Not sure about your tubing or engraving questions though.

That scope shoudl be very adaquate for school and many years beyond. Littmann is very good, and the price is reasonable. You can get tubing in any uniform shop, (might need to be ordered) or a nursing supply catalog. There are many... you can even do an internet search. Tubing should be reasonably affordable to change the color. Engraving can be done in any trophy shop, place that makes name tags, plaques, ect. Just check your yellow pages for a listing.

I love ebay too. I sell TONS of healthcare and vintage items on ebay all the time. If you want a link, email me at excellenceinlearning@rn.com

THanks
