Hi my name is Theo, and I am currently a pre-nursing student and I was just wondering what steps are needed to take in order to shadow jobs for career exploration such as nurse practicioner, nurse anesthesia, etc! Thanks!

Welcome, Theo. Have you considered asking a CRNA or APN about their daily responsibilities? If you work at a hospital you could ask HR if you would be able to job shadow. I don't know if that's something they normally allow if you are just in pre-nursing. It doesn't hurt to ask though.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

It depends on the hospitals in your area and what type of protocol they have. Sometimes you probably could just network & try to find someone already working within your desired setting (hospital, home health, RN, NP...whatever) and just tell them your plans & simply ask could you come & check them out during their shifts. It also depends on the person you approach some enjoy one-on-one others really don’t want to be bothered during their shifts. Start off by volunteering...that way you will know who to ask. Hope this help!! Good Luck!!!
