I'm in my last semester in a BSN program. I been noticing that as the semester move on, I have been having trouble staying motivated to study and stay on top of my class work. I know that this is certainly not the time to slack off but I just feel sad and down all the time. I know I should be excited about my upcoming graduation but even thinking about this is not motivating me to study. I think that I am just nervous about getting out into the world of nursing and knowing that I won't have that teacher there to help me through any problems that I may have. I'm really nervous about knowing that I will be completely on my own.

Ha! I feel the EXACT same way! I'm also in my last semester & instead of studying for my cardio exam tomorrow morning, I'm here. I'm usually very motivated in the beginning of the semester....do well on the exams & then I get less motivated as the semester goes on but this time I just can't seem to get started....it's so frustrating!!! I also think about pinning but that too doesn't help motivate me.
We just gotta keep pushing forward!! Good luck :)

right with you ... only I have 3 semesters left ( including this one ) I know I should be excited about this new career but I am just tired and freaked!!! Maybe it's just a right of passage ~:grn:
good luck,
do you know what area you want to work in?

Well, I want to start out doing med-surg and eventually move to telemetry or maternity. I'm hoping after a year of experience, I can work with a travel agency. I would like to travel all over the country. Agency seems like it would fit me so much and the top pay isn't bad either.
