state to state licensure

Go to the SC BON online... all the instructions for licencure by endorsement should be there for you. This is what I did a couple months ago to get my NC licence (am currently licenced in Va., now also NC).

Some states are reciprocal, there is a website mentioned here on the BB on one of the threads with a link to see which ones already are... perhaps someone here can refer you to the link. As far as the travel nursing, I can't advise you there, but if you go to the Travel Nursing forum, I'm sure you'll find someone who can help you out.

Also (depending on your school) when you fill out the application for the NCLEX exam you can select which state. Although you still need to fill out the paperwork for licensure in the state you want to go too. Your instructors should also have information on this as well and they should be able to get you that paperwork that you need. The school I graduated from here in NC had several students who picked a different state. Some GA, TX, SC, and many more. And the program director at my school assisted them with getting the needed paperwork for that. So check with your instructors also.

No-I started out at UNC-G, but i didn't get into the nursing school and I didn't want to take a year off b/c my sister got in and I wanted to graduate at the same time as her. So now I am at Forsyth Tech in Winston-Salem. But thanks for your input..I'm still not sure where I want to go when I graduate but I am really excited about all of the possibilities!!!
