I have been working for this for what seems like forever, after being placed on the "waitlist" 5 TIMES I finally got a call last week offering me a spot in the summer program. I have CPR class today, orientation and physical tomorrow, and start class on MONDAY!!! I'm ready but I'm nervous, every rejection discouraged me more and more and the past 2 semesters I've just been getting by with no enthusiasm or motivation. I have wanted this for so long, now I just have to dive right in. I quit my job to make more time for school since I have 3 kids at home 9,9,& 2. Any tips or words of encouragement will be greatly appreciated!!!

congratulations and make sure you stay ahead with your readings or at least in tandem with what your theory teacher will be teaching. set up a routine so that you are able to study and spend time with your kids setting up a routine will allow them to know when it's time to play with mom and when its time for mom to study.

I know you are going to be swamped after the first day with readings and studying and lecture. However, I HOPE that you will make time to post on here about how the first day went and what supplies we may have missed on the list here.
Thanks,

Wooohoooo!! Congratulations! You have obviously worked hard to get what you want and I'm sure you won't stop there. I don't start my classes until August, but if I could share any advice -it would be to stay organized!! That's my goal anyway Your day is coming and your kids are going to see you working hard and be very proud of you. Good luck!!
