Starting a CNA program... advice?!

Published

I am going to start a cna course that is nine weeks long monday thru thursday and on saturdays. I will also be taking nursing pre-requisites at the college full time and I am nervous that it will be too much. I am beyond excited to start the cna class, and want to be able to do my best and am considering dropping a class. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? Any advice on the cna class in general?

It really depends how many extra courses you are taking, what those courses are, and how many hours a day you will have to dedicate to your CNA program. Do you work full time/have a family to tend to? It all really depends on the individual. If you have enough time to study for your classes and keep up then there shouldn't be a problem. Good luck.

I wouldn't drop a class because of the CNA class. CNA class is incredibly easy and I did not spend any time outside of the class to study (at the time I had no prior health care experience). Just go to class, pay attention, and be active in practicing the skills.
