Hey Hey! I'm new to this nursing blog, but i've been an LVN for about 4 years now. I'm currently working on the med/surg unit at one of the #1 Trauma Centers in So Cal. Im excited to begin the next step of my nursing career and earn my ADN. From home health, to registry, to being full-time at a hospital...I've learned so much about myself as a nurse. Being a young black man, you kinda walk into nursing with your guard up because you know its predominantly a female-ran field and there aren't too many people like you, in comparison to others. After mastering Foley Catheters, vital signs, enemas, maintenance ivf's, cleaning poop, making beds, medication administration, and basic assessments....ITS TIME FOR THE RN ROLE. I am pleased to announce that I will be attending Stanbridge College in irvine starting May '16. Is there anyone else planning to attend or already attending this school?
