StarN Residency -

Hello everyone,

If anyone can tell me their personal experience with this program. So far what I've read are very negative reviews, and that kinda scares me but at the same time I know that most hospitals are for profit now around my area, as well. HCA doesn't seem like the best company to work for (According to reviews) but I'm starting to get desperate for money and have no experience and they are willing to train me so...

It would be a 2 year contract compared to a bunch of 3 year contracts in my area.

I know it mostly depends on the hospital and the environment but I just wanna see the feedback.

Note that I am starting to run out of money and a guaranteed job for 2 years doesn't seem like the worst option.

Just want to comment on reviews. Think of someplace you really like. Look at the reviews. See if they're in line with your opinion. People are quicker to write a review when they are unhappy. Not one of my past employers had decent reviews. Only in one case did I feel the bad reviews were warranted.

I've been looking at reviews myself lately. They seem to be either really good or really bad. Maybe a few in between. When I compared a few different places I applied, they were all pretty much rated the same.

Best of luck to you.

I honestly had the WORST experience with memorial HCA as a new grad. Their nurse/patient ratio was insane and staffing was always awful.
