Spring 2011 Applications

What colleges are still accepting applications for Spring 2011? I have close to a 4.0 overall and will complete my CNA cert winter term (so if it's required I need a school that only need it before starting the program not before completing an application. I would like to become an LPN first so I can get to work asap but if I can start an RN program this spring it would be just as good. I know Tacoma CC is accepting applications for Spring term full and part time programs so I'll try applying there. I looked into Clover Park Tech and was told I couldn't get in until Fall 2011 (starting their LPN program this spring was my goal). I live in the South Sound but would consider just about any school at this point.

Thanks

There are several other schools in the area.. the two that you mentioned are the two schools that don't use application procedures in your favor as one is a wait list and one is a lottery.. I'd keep looking... I'd recommend south puget sound cc.

Any other recomendations folks?

To begin with, TCC doesn't have an LPN program. They do bridge existing LPNs to RN.

TCC is on the lotto system, so anyone with a 3.0 or better and the proper prereqs has an equal shot.

It is the only program I have info about, having graduated there.

Good luck in your search!

DC, ED RN :)

South Puget Sound doesn't seem to admit students into their program during Spring Term. I know TCC has a lotto system for their RN program so that's just luck of the draw. I am looking for a program that admits Spring term and is competitive entry.

Does anyone know much about South Seattle Community College's LPN program? It seems to start Summer term instead of Spring term though.

Thanks

Hello,

Clover Park told you Fall 2011?? Be careful. I sumbitted my application back in Nov and I just received my start date which is not until Spring 2012. They said if people deny their spots I could get in sooner but I may just have to wait. Also they are turning their program into an RN program. You have the option to continue on for your second year or leave and become and LPN. Good Luck!!
