So i messed up..

So about 9 months ago i decided to go into nursing (only 19 btw) i graduated HS at 16 so i had way to much time to do nothing and sadly i ive become lazy... for the last 2 semesters i would up dropping all of my classes because of life issues, but regardless i know they probably weren't big enough to drop classes... So now im a year behind again, considering i lost a year from switching majors i am honestly mad at myself. Im doing the Associates via community college because quiete frankly cant afford to go to a 4 year... Not too sure the point of this self pitty rant is, but i would love to know what i should do ? Also anothe reason for the class drops was probably because the local nursing program has a moratorium till 2012, so that didnt help.. Now im considering a move to get into one after my preQ's blah .... i screwed up this time!

We all screw up every now and then. Been there and done that myself. Took me many many years to finally get my act together and graduate. Just dust yourself off, keep your eye on your goals, and study hard at whatever you do.

Good luck.

I graduated HS w/a 3.85 GPA....first semester of college I got a 0.16 GPA. That's my late teens screw up.

I'm now in my 30's, been a nurse for eight years, and back in school again. Sometimes, especially for overachievers, it ends up taking a little longer b/c of burnout and then having to get back into the swing of things. At least that's been my experience. :D

As the others have said ... We all screw up ocassionally. What should you do now?

1. Identify your options (which schools, which classes, which major, etc.)

2. Make a choice as to what pathway to take based on what your long-term goals are and the feasability of the various choices you have.

3. Investigate what you have to do to get accepted ... or whatever ...

4. Buckle down and do the work.

Growing up can be painful at times ... but we all have to do it if we want to succeed in life. I wish you the best of luck.

You all are so sweet, im yet to post on this website and not get beautiful answers.... The reason i say beautiful is because they are never biased and truly inspirational.. thanks

You will be fine because you have a plan now. Just get back on track and don't feel like you messed up. You will be fine. Keep the picture of your goal in your mind and everyday think about it. Makes steps to achieve it and if you get off track, just pick yourself up and dust yourself off and start back on your track.
