Slow down in HH?

Has anyone else noticed a slow down in the home health industry? The agency I work for had over one hundred clients a year and a half ago and now we struggle to stay above 50. I am beginning to contemplate a second job because of the lack of work. I barely make 30 units per week anymore.

We have seen a huge increase in my agency. We have so many new referrals we can barely keep up with new hires.

I wish we had that problem. We have four RN's, two PT's, 3 PTA's, an OT and COTA, and an ST...all of which compete for 60-70 patients.

Wow, I see 40-50 pts a week by myself as an RN Case Manager. We are a family owned HHA with a census of about 350-400. Intake started turning referrals away this week because we just don't have the staff right now to handle more.

US trending is toward home health care.

I would wonder why your company is losing referrals. Who have they annoyed in the community? What bad publicity are they getting from former patients or referring providers?
