Oh thanks for the info! That's a relatively small cohort, which is definitely a plus. Maybe I'll call or email the department to find out for sure ?

Not until April 1st!

Do any of you know anybody who has done this program? Or have any insight into the program outside of information directly from Simmons? I would love to be able to connect with someone who has been through it and knows what to expect and if they had a positive experience. I have seen some negative reviews of the program (as you would for anywhere I'm sure), but actually talking to someone who has done it would be very helpful!

I was recently accepted and sent in my intent to enroll today. Has anyone else enrolled yet?

Was accepted! Simmons is one of the top programs I am interested in--absolutely loved my visits there, but I think I will be giving up my spot to go to UMass Med. Good luck to everyone! That should free up a spot on the waitlist.

I personally chose Simmons because I am more comfortable with the time frame of 3-4 years vs 2. I also know that Simmons encourages you to do the NP portion part time if you would like to get experience working as an RN during the program. This was an important factor for me because I have no health care experience other than volunteering in a NICU. I felt like 2 years was too little time for me to feel competent at what I’m doing. That’s just my two cents!! Everyone’s different, good luck finding your fit!
