Silly Question re NCLEX

When the grand odyssey is finished, and we have completed the CPNE and all other Excelsior criteria, how does the NCLEX work? Do we just schedule an exam at Pearson like all the others, or do we have to go to a certain place/time for a "paper" exam? I would hate to finish all this and then end up having to wait several months for an exam date to roll around, especially after already waiting several months for the CPNE. Thanks.

You just schedule with Pearson VUE just like before. Now, of course this is AFTER you have applied for the NCLEX through ncsbn, designated your state, paid all the fees, etc. But scheduling it is easy. Also, it should be known that you can take the NCLEX for any state in any state. I got licensed as an RN for Hawaii and took the NCLEX in Washington. FYI.
