Life care centers of America has posted to indeed.com that they are hiring RN/LPN with a sign on bonus. Amount of bonus not listed. This is in Florissant Mo and is in a nursing home. Posted 4 days ago. If u want to find it go to indeed, search for st Louis mo and "sign on". It should come up.

In this economy, I'd be wary of any facility offering a sign on bonus. There must be a reason no one wants to work there.

Make sure you read every word of the contract before you sign. My job offer has a $3,000 sign on bonus (FOR NEW GRADS!) if I agree to work there for 2.5 years.

I'd be willing to bet that not only would you earn every single penny of that bonus because the job won't be what you thought it was, but that you'd be willing to pay twice that to get out of the contract.
Any place that needs to have a signing bonus nowadays can't get qualified candidates in the door any other way.
Just my two cents.

No really true that a sign-on bonus is signs of a bad facility or agency. A bonus is attractive and have become a bit of industry norm at this point. Some agencies give them just because the nurses specifiaclly requests it "because other agencies give them". That being said it going to reduce your first contract compensation since that money has to come from somewhere.
Your slight advantage here is if you are doing "travel" nursing this bonus can be "tax free" and then it reduces your compensation for assignment which would be made of of 50/50 "taxable" and "tax-free" income.
