Currently, I'm a nursing student and I have an interview scheduled for a SICU department new grad residency program. I was looking at the description posted on the hospital's website with regards to some of the activities that are done in this department. I'm a little concerned since I haven't seen a lot of this in practice during my clinical rotations. I plan on doing online research of the subject matters, not to pretend that I know everything about the various topics, but at least, to convey my interest to the interviewers. Any other advice on how to prepare for the interview would be greatly appreciated e.g., shawdowing, books, articles, etc. In advance, thank you!

You are a new grad, so they will not expect you to be an expert on ICU nursing care. You should know basic disease processes, but in this initial interview, they will probably be assessing your personality and ability to learn and adapt to ICU.
ICU is a strong 'team work' environment, as a new grad, they will want to see that you can be a good team player. They will want to know that you are smart, and can learn quickly. But, trust me, they will not expect you to be super smart and have all the answers at the interview.
