Hi. I'm currently taking my last Med-Surg class. I will be taking OB in the spring and hopefully graduating with my ASN next year.
My dream was to transfer to Hunter for my BSN, so i applied early hoping to start next fall.
However, I received an email stating that Hunter is not reviewing applications until fall 2012. The email didn't say why. I was so upset.
Does anybody know why this is happening? Should I wait for Hunter or not waste time and just continue at my school (they offer a RN-BSN program)?
Any Hunter transfers here? Are you happy with the program?
Thanks

There is a good chance this has happened due to budget cuts CUNY-wide. Unless you want to wait for Hunter I would advise you to look for a different way.
I am presently a student at Lehman and the budget cuts can be felt throughout the whole system.
Hunter does have a great reputation but at the end of the day a BSN is a BSN.
Good luck on your journey.

it might be b/c there are just too many students. I know for the grad program they are not accepting any new students this spring for that reason, too many students going part time and not graduating.
I agree a BSN is a BSN, but Hunter is cheap and great reputation in NYC.
