Should I keep pursuing nursing if I have to keep repeating classes due to a hectic pe

*a hectic personal life??

Maybe im not focused enough or maybe I just have too much going on. Can I still get in to nursing school If I keep repeating classes for a better grade. I'm desperate !!!

I know I have to buckle own harder and Im willing to do that but will my past school history affect my chances of getting into a BSN program in NY... I was going thru a rough time in life with a seperation, child and child support an custody issues all while working full time as CNA and raising my 3 year old boy.

I am really determined to get thru this and Hopefully the fact that I got C's the 1st and second try for A&P and now the 3rd try I got an A wont mean anything.

This is really depressing. I really regret everything I went thru these past years (except my son) and wish I would've made better choices.

The good news is when I get into a program, mom is willing to help me. She says I could move back home until my program is complete. :yeah:.

Well see thats great news!! I TOTALLY understand your situation. I just retook both anatomy's. I got C's the first go round and now have B's in both. The crazy part is that it didn't even matter. I just got accepted into a school (GA) and I was on the waiting list for the second year. DON"T GIVE UP!! You should read my thread..Depressed thinking about giving up. It pretty much sums it up. I have been trying to be a nurse for a really long time. Everyone kept telling me to just pick a new major. I almost listened. But at the last minute I got my letter. I honestly have 10 rejection letters. I have kept them as souvenirs. But I actually even tried from my LPN and didn't get accepted into that program either. I couldn't believe it. I have 75 hrs at a university and they are all for my BSN and I couldn't even get into a LPN school. But my school I will be going to in the fall is for an ASN. oh and my GPA for the LPN school was a 4.0 and it still didn't matter. So don't get down on yourself! If this is really what you want give it all you got, and then when you don't have anymore push a little harder. I also have a 3 year old daughter, and it was pretty depressing when she would ask if I was going to cry that day. But I think retaking classes 1. only helps you retain the info better. and 2. shows schools how much you really want it. So don't give up. Here in GA its EXTREMELY competitive. I am sure its the same way in NY but if I can get in somewhere anyone can. and I only have a 3.2 GPA and made a 75 on my TEAS..which pretty much sucks..haha. but hope I helped. :)

Putting the effort into increasing your grades can only improve your chances.

Good luck,
