Should I call off ?

So I have a finger infection (paronychia). The pain is pretty mild. I'm currently on an antibiotic for it. From what I understand (correct me if i'm wrong) it is not contagious unless the abscess ruptures. I'm scheduled to work fri-sat. Usually when I am on an antibiotic I feel sick to my stomach and experience the side effects of nausea and diarrhea. I took my first dose not too long ago therefore I can not comment on how it has or has not effected me yet. Should I take precaution and just call off anyway ?
