Should i consider LPN?

Published

hello all im currently finishing up my pre reqs for my community college ADN program which i had planned on applying in sept. unfortunately im ending my summer class (physiology) with a C and there is a high chance i wot get in with this grade. Im planning in retaking this class ext semester aswell as finish 2 more classes i will beed later on nextsemester. If i do not make the spring program i can apply for the Lpn program starting in june yet i can apply for next fall RN program for fall 2014 ( assuming i earned a better grade the second time) is it worth it waiting almost a year to re apply for the RN program ir should i take the LpN route and then go back for my RN the only reason im cosidering is because i do not want to waste anymore time and want a real job as well as itll be easier to pay for RN school on an LPN salary over CNA

Any opinions?

Good day, Axm611291:

Can you apply to both programs around the same time? Then if you get into the RN program, go that route?

Thank you.

My school allows us to apply for 2 nursing programs. It can be 2 differently timed RN programs or the LPN program and an RN program.

Just make sure that the LPN program offers college credits so you can bridge to RN in the future, if you choose to go that route.

Best of luck with whatever you decide to do. :)
