Jan 19, 201016 yr Where can i find a list of ABSN programs that shows the length of time it takes to complete them?I don't no where you can find that type of list. However, I know where you can find a list of all the ABSN programs in the country.http://www.aacn.nche.edu/Education/pdf/APLIST.PDFI know that the shortest ABSN program is Drexel U ACE program. It last 11 months.
Jan 19, 201016 yr All the "shortest" ABSN programs are roughly 1 year. I don't see that a month or two difference is going to have a significant impact on your decision. A few more significant factors are: 1) location; 2) cost (of school & living); 3) ability to GET IN; 4) prerequisites; and 5) when program starts/ ends (think: how many jobs will be available and how many people will be looking? Spring & summer tend to be flooded w/ new grads).Good luck!
Jan 20, 201016 yr The Discover Nursing website (http://www.discovernursing.com) may help too. I think you can drill down your search to ABSN and the state you live in.I would caution against enrolling in a super accelerated program. I am in a 16 month program now and cannot fathom it being any shorter. Good luck!
Jan 20, 201016 yr University of Nebraska Medical Center is 11 months. They have 3 campuses: Lincoln, Omaha, and Scottsbluff.
Feb 15, 201016 yr Drexel University had an 11-month program...but they have a whole bunch of pre-reqs. The good things is you can start in the fall or the spring
