Shopping!!!!

Today I went shopping for all my uniforms and supplies. It was so much fun! I am 22 days from starting my program and can't wait! I already had the required colors (navy pants, white tops) for clinicals, so I bought 3 pants and 3 shirts that I can wear for classes because we're allowed to wear anything for those. Scrubs aren't even required for classes, but they're comfy and cheaper than buying regular stuff, so I figured - why not! Besides, I'm getting reimbursed for all my stuff and they'd already agreed to buy 3 pants and 3 shirts. Got a bp cuff, hemostat, bandage scissors, hip clip, 2 pair of shoes, and a Littman Select stethoscope (which I think I'm going to take back and try to find a Classic II SE or Master Classic on Ebay because it's cheaper.) By the way, did I say this was SO MUCH FUN!?

So what was wrong w/ the other Littman? I need to go ahead and get that purchase out of the way. I have been looking around on line and i would really like to have either the Master Cardio or the Cardio III but they are over $100 bucks. i start the adn program in august and want to go ahead and start preparing (as many of us are doing). Could you not hear very clearly on the Select? I have a problem w/ pressure difference b/t the middle ear and also fluid retention behind the eardrum which causes frequent hearing problems (have been told when pregnant w/ my son i needed tubes). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Littman Cardio III -- acoustical rating is 9

Littman Classic II SE -- acoustical rating is 7

Nothing was really wrong with it, but if I'm going to spend that much money I might as well put a little more with it and get one better. They are much cheaper on Ebay, and Allheart.com has the cheapest prices of any store I've found. I'm probably going to get the Master Classic II.
