SHOES???

What is a recommended shoe for clinicals?

nursemates or dansko. no sneakers

LOVE my sketcher shape-ups- they've saved my lower back!!

I have Nursemates and they are really comfortable. But we really didn't have much choice-they are required as part of our uniform.

Are the nursemate shoes very comfortable? because I have flat/wide feet...

You can do a search as there was a another site regarding shoes. IMO, you need to go to the stores and just try on all the different shoes as what people were recommending were not that comfortable to me. I had a few ideas on names from here but from there I just tried on and got what I thought would work for me. I haven't worn mine yet. The ideal nursemates that I wanted to get without ordering online weren't available at the nurses store that is why you just need to go and see what is available. If you have flat/wide feet then I think you should try on for perfect fit anyways. I am too particular in fit so I have never ordered shoes online. Also, our program does allow white tennis shoes, but again it was hard to find all white and comfortable.
