does the ltc facility you work at offer 4 or 6 hour shifts?

None that I ever worked at but find someone to split shifts with and the administration maybe open to it. I was the one who put 12 hour shifts in effect with one of my friends!!!

The LTC facility I work at has mostly twelve hour shifts so when there are two nurses who say until six and one that comes in at 2pm, I will work 6pto 10p and it's actually nice. Or when they are short days I will just work 6a to 10a. Most LTC facilities are so desperate for help around here, you can pretty much pick your hours (without insurance or benefits) being prn. I could either work full time or part time hours as a prn nurse depending on the present staffing. I do not need insurance or benefits, so I actually enjoy getting a little extra pay per hour to be prn. Also I work prn at a family practice clinic and they to are accomidating to me only being able to work 1/2 days. Because with both jobs, my availibility is so limited, they will take me for what they can get rather than having noone at all.

The LTC facility I work in has one 6 hour shift which runs from 3p to 9p.

Our LTC does neither. We have only 8 & 12 hour shifts.

i work in a community hospital but we have a twilight shift which is 5pm to 10pm, also people with kids work a short early shift which is 9am-2pm
