Hi,
I just want to share my experience as a PSW here in Canada.
Some of the other caregivers/PSW always tend to get "too personal" and ask things like "How much do you get paid?" etc. and then if they found out that you are making more money than them. They would ask you to hook them up to your job and as a result, you are the one who lost that job.
That is the thing that I don't like about PSW/Nursing. There is never a stable work. You will never know if you have shifts the next day. Plus there are a lot of these cutthroat b**** who will try to put you down.
Sometimes, I really prefer my previous office job. I was able to stay there for 2+ years. Plus there is stable hours. But I couldn't get this Nursing thing off my back!

So you regret going into nursing? What office job did you do?
Sometimes I do regret getting into Nursing. But, I like helping patients and I love learning how to keep the household organized (as a psw). It's the co-workers that annoy me. They are so cutthroat! Lots of crabs as well.
I did a customer service assistant job over the phone. It was okay. I was doing my own thing most of the time because we had our own stations.
