I wanted to start a thread for those of us that will be applying to sharp hospital, San Diego , for the winter 2014/2015 new grad rn residency program . Please all .... Share your thoughts throughout the application period and let's provide each other with some much needed support !

That's awesome! Well good luck to you! I chose the grossmont ED as my first choice and grossmont PCU as my second. What all did you do prepare for this program? Are you from San Diego and did you just graduate??

I just graduated this Oct from an EL-MSN program. I am a san diego resident and did most of my clinicals and prrceptoship at sharp. I have my bls , acls, and took some extra courses in IV access, EKG interpretation, and stroke care through the NIH. I'm just trying to take little courses here and there when I can! I don't volunteer because I have two kids under the age of three that I stay at home to care for. Hat about everyone else ???

I would have loved to apply for the e.r but I didn't do a preceptoship there... I did one in the ICU. However for those of you that applied to the e.d. in chula vista..... I hear they are doubling the size of the e.r. and renovating it. So hopefully you all will have a better chance of getting in !!!

I was gonna do it tomorrow how long did it take you and which dept did you choose?! :) so exciting!!

It took me a little over an hour. I chose NICU and the ED at Memorial. Good luck to everyone applying!
