Hey just wanted to get a forum going for anyone who just applied to the Sharp new grad RN program last week. Good luck to everyone!

it was too many grad they ended up doing a small presentation, not all grad had a chance to talk to the coordinator. they took our resume but idk if it was helpful overall.

oh shoot really?? I got there at 1 and was the first person to talk to her and I saw she talked to quite a few people as well. I left around 230 so I wasn't aware of the presentation. That's so lame I'm sorry!

dang I had no idea this even happened! that's a great opportunity!

It wasn't really well advertised imo. I only knew about it because someone had posted the flyer on the new grad page on FB. I was close to not going because someone said it was for experienced nurses only and I even called HR to confirm and they said experienced nurses only. So glad I didn't listen to her because I would've missed the opportunity.

My application looks like it was opened or looked at yesterday. the status still says "under consideration" but the date was Nov 10th instead of the day i submitted, which was obviously in October. hopefully a good sign!

maybe your first choice got rejected and second option still under consideration!Thats why ur status still says that! before I applied to sharp and got rejected from diff position and my status I remember changed to no longer under consideration, I think there is still hope

They emailed me today asking more specifics about my preceptorship I had in school and sent me another email about "self-identify" not really sure if any of this is good, but dang my fingers are crossed!

I'm not 100% sure...I picked both ER spots as my 1 and 2.

I did a 1 on 1 with a nurse in the ER for 15 shifts. Basically it was my final rotation of clinicals and we got placed depending on what we wanted to specialize in and depending on our standing as a student. It was really nice and I basically got to be independent with it for the most part and it ended being a great experience!!
