hi all you travel nurses

was wondering if you could share some of your vast knowledge in reagrds to different places you have travelled to and try to pick out the best hospitals, best pay, best support, best cost of living etc? actually any of your knowledge from traveling would be great.

americas such a hugh country and different experiences may make it easier for furture rn's to decide where they like to be.;)

hope you can help

The best thing is to go all over and see what you like best. Go to the mountains, the beaches, the lake, the city, the country... There is something always new and exciting to do! Seems like the coast areas are the most expensive especially Miami/Fort Lauderdale, New York City, and San Fran. Places like Florida, Hawaii, and Alaska you go to for the adventure not the pay... for the highest pay and mandated nursing ratio's go to California. For low cost living with comperable wages, stick to the middle plains/midwest.

As BagladyRN says... hard to answer all the questions, but that will give you a start!

I bet you have an interesting story or two to tell yourself. What part of Ireland do you work?

When are you planning to come over here to the US?

Greetings curlysin,

I agree with the advise of go everywhere, some for the money others for the experience. I hope one day to travel to your home country to visit, and possibly to work. If you ever find yourself near West Virginia in your stateside travels, contact me, I would love to show you some of our "lovely countryside".

Welcome and good luck in your travels! Cin RN
