Shadowing Availability?

Hi all! I'm not starting RN school for awhile but I'm looking to shadow somewhere to make sure it's for me. Does anyone know any of the hospitals or anything that will let you shadow? I'm in the Charlotte area but will drive a small distance away to observe.

I know the CC in Asheville, it's a pre-req to observe for X# of hours before starting. If I volunteer someplace, would I be able to observe then? One of the hospitals here wants volunteers but it's for their gift shop...

Thoughts?

I guess I'd suggest calling the hospital and talking w/their STUDENT NURSE representative/recruiter and go from there. We have 2 HUGE hospitals here (W-S) and I think that is where I'd start if I was looking for what you are:)

You can job shadow at Presbyterian in Charlotte....you should get in contact with the education department. Send me a PM (private message) and I will let you know the person's specific name to ask for.
