SFSU/Sequoia program 2015

Hi. I was looking around on here for any current threads about the current admission cycle for the BSN program to SFSU/Sequoia. I didn't see anything recent so figured I'd start a topic.

I have an interview coming up for fall admission and wanted to see in anyone had some advice who had gone through this interview process? I'm pretty nervous...

Also, any other information about the program would be awesome.

Thanks,

Kym

any info will help ! :)

Also, does anybody know if this will be a solo interview or a group one? It's coming up, and I can say, it's definitely nerve racking

@kym we're the first year to have interviews so im guessing not many people would be able to help. im also nervous but this is how i prepared for it. https://allnurses.com/pre-nursing-student/16-common-nursing-962531.html

@dooodaa most likely a solo interview. the email i got said that there was limited waiting space and that we should arrive as close as possible to our interview time.

Hi everyone. This is my first post as I've been lurking but the stress is killing me. I interviewed on Tuesday, March 10th. I was asked not to share any information about the interview so I won't. But I can tell you that, yes, there is very little room to wait around. I stood outside. It was a pleasant experience, very friendly. I hope you all do well and that we get to know each other a bit on here and then can be classmates.

300 views and only 3 comments? Just wanted to post that I have been accepted into the SF State/Sequoia BSN program at Canada. I got an email yesterday. I hope I find others on here that will be my classmates. Good luck to everyone.

Hello! I am totally new to this site. I received the email yesterday for the SFSU Sequoia Program, I am thrilled! Congrats and I look forward to meeting you.

Nice to "meet" you kind1. I hope we meet more of us on here in the coming days. And congratulations!

Hi 3 doodle and Kind1 I also got accepted to the Sequoia fall program. Super excited. I wrote the first post for this btw.

Have you guys had any other communication from the school since turning in your acceptance letter? I heard they were going to send emails confirming our acceptance, but I didn't get anything.

Glad to see/talk to others that will be in the program. :o)

Congrats kcolyer!

I have not heard anything yet, I mailed my form on Wednesday night. I plan to check with them on Monday to make sure it was received.

Hey all! Saw you on the other thread but thought I'd post over here since this one is specifically for our program. I mailed my letter on Thursday so I'll wait until tomorrow to call them. Definitely want to make sure it doesn't get lost in the mail!

Hi everyone,

Im new to this board (this is my first post) and I just wanted to say "Hi!" to my future classmates!

Also, I turned my acceptance letter in person (since I am already taking classes at Canada College this semester and was on campus). I received an e-mail that same day confirming that they received my BSN response form.

Also, does anyone have more information about when we're going to hear about our admission into SFSU (one of the conditions of being in the BSN program)? I know the e-mail saying we were accepted into the SFSU/Sequoia program says it'll take about 3 weeks, but I'm worried because SFSU's admissions acceptance window ends on May 1.

Hi and congratulations to everyone! I dropped off my acceptance at Canada yesterday and I got an email this morning confirming they received it. I called SFSU admissions today and they told me that we will have two weeks to accept from the time we're notified, no matter the date. So, we don't need to worry about the May 1st deadline. I'm also going to try to call financial aid later today to ask when that is determined. Does anybody know if we need to be accepted first in order to find out if we're awarded any financial aid? Also, does anybody have any idea what our class schedule might be like? It seems like a long time to wait until the end of June to get more information and I'm trying to figure out what kind of part-time job I can find. Has anybody else mentioned setting up a facebook group for our cohort? I think that would be helpful. Maybe I'll keep posting on here so I can get the level to be able to PM you guys and we can exchange emails. Jen
