SFSU Nursing Master's Program - how is it?

Published

Hello, everyone:

I've done a lot of digging in the forum archives, and can't find a lot of posts from current SFSU Nursing students in the entry-level Master's Programs (ELMSN, now also ELM-A).

Can anyone here talk about how their experience has been? Classroom? Clinical? Preceptorships? Faculty? I'd love to hear anything (and everything) about your experience.

I've just been offered a spot in the ELM-A program starting in Jan. 2016, and I'd like to find out more about what people's firsthand experiences have been at SFSU Nursing.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Just curious as to whether you ever got any feedback, and if you started the program? I am considering applying for this as well but I really want to work as a floor nurse in a hospital and i am wondering if this is just not the right degree for me. I was attracted to it because you get a BSN and an MSN for less than the cost of a BSN at samuel merritt! thanks for any feedback you might have :)

Hi there @guest2016, CNA!

I was wondering if I could PM you somehow... I saw that you were accepted into the SFSU ELM-A program and I would love to hear more about it! Also... I believe I am in a similar predicament as you a year ago. I saw that you went through a MEPN interview at UCSF. May I ask you what program you decided to be in the end? Thank you in advance for any help / feedback!
