GOOD DAY ALL NURSES!!!
I posted this question once before and had no replies so I decided to rephrase it. I was looking to start nursing school last year but due to some family issues it was put on hold. .. Now its a New Year and less drama, I would like to begin on my LPN schooling but I'am stooped on which school to attend. Here's a list of schools I'am considering:
Broward County:
Atlantic Tech - Coconut Creek, FL
McFatter Tech - Davie, FL
Sheridan Tech- Hollywood, FL
Dade County:
Mercy - Miami, FL
My dream is to finish the LPN program at one of the schools above and transfer over to BC or MDC to get a RN Degree.. I ask that you all please chime in with your recommendations, experiences, compliants, or just plain insight on the schools I listed.. :DALL REPLIES are apprieciated!!
:idea:P.S. Does Broward General Hospital perfer a school, from my list?

I graduated LPN last year, here are some considerations for you when picking a school. You can call or go to the school and find out the answers.
How long has the LPN program been in existence?
What is the school's NCLEX pass rate?
How much does the program cost?
How many people are in the class?
What is the graduation rate?
Where are the clinical locations? How are clinical locations assigned? How many clinical hours will I get?
What is the attendance policy?
What is the policy for someone who fails a term?
Get all those answers first, then consider how far you are willing to commute for school and clinicals. Looks like you live in either Broward or Dade so you better factor in travel time.
I live in Pinellas and the school and clinicals I attended were also in Pinellas. There were people in our class commuting from eastern Hillsborough and Sarasota counties. They had some awful commute times and hours especially when getting to clinical for 7 am.
thank you so much for the list questions you provided for my decision on what school to attend. the are very handy and i'am also most completed on getting my questions answered.
