SF State Fall 2015-Spring 2016 responses from SON

Applied for Fall 2015, accepted for Spring 2016.

Stats:

Overall GPA: ~ 3.53

Prereq GPA: 4.00

TEAS V: 91.3

Paid experience as a care giver for a family member (idk if it they accepted it or not). Also, I hope the following, which is cut and pasted from the acceptance email sent, helps...

1. Why was I admitted for spring?
   
   The School of Nursing typically accepts approximately 60-80 BSN students per academic year. Due to space and clinical site constraints, all admitted students cannot be accommodated in one semester. We therefore offer some students a space in the fall and some in the spring, while attempting to achieve an academically balanced entering class (i.e. not all of the top applicants are accepted for one specific semester).

For those of you who said you got denied on other threads, did they send you an actual email? I have not heard anything from them so I have no idea what's up.

Although I got accepted, I have a few friends who were denied. The email went something like this:

"On behalf of the Nursing Admission Committee, I am sorry to inform you that your application to the BSN program for academic year 2015-2016 has been denied. We received more applications than we can accommodate for 56 highly competitive spaces..." and so on. This person in particular received this email on April 29th. I would absolutely give SFSU a call as soon as possible if you still have not heard back by now. I know that if someone is admitted past the deadline to register (May 1), they have 2 extra weeks to decide whether or not they want to attend the school.
