Hello, Im new to the boards. Since freshmen year I've been interested in nursing and since senior year is fast approaching I have to think fast if I really want to make this a career. I did some volunteer work at a hospital and I'm enrolling in a nursing mentor program and so far this type of job sounds like it's for me. I'm thinking of going for my RN. But I hear a lot of complaints that nurses don't get paid enough and there very short handed. And at the same time I hear it's a wonderful career, w/ good pay, and that there in high demand. I don't know what to think since the nurses I worked w/ at the hospital all seemed pretty happy and friendly. I was wondering what are some drawbacks w/ this career? What are some good points? Are you happy with your job? Thanks :)
