I have been waiting for this day for almost a year. Before I started school I was a casual aide working full time. Now I just work on holidays. Today I'm so freaking excited I could hardly sleep. I was up at 4:30, I've already worked out and I'm ready to go. Today is the day we start practicum at the facility where I work. It's like coming home. I can't wait to see my coworkers, I can't wait to see my residents, I can't wait to find out who my patient is. I.just.can't.wait.

How did it go? I would have loved to have a clinical at a facility I was familiar with.
It is going great so far. We did one day of orientation to the building, I worked at an aide with my co-workers. It was freaking awesome. Tomorrow, one of my favourite nurses is on my team and I have already asked him if I can tag along with him when I'm not busy with my patient.
My facility manager pulled me aside to speak with me. I was teased and harassed mercilessly by my co-workers, I teased back, and it was just nice to be back in the swing of things. Its a great feeling just to be so comfortable with your practicum site. I know I won't be getting an experience like this again so I'm planning on enjoying every minute of our 3 weeks there.
