[color=plum]hello, everyone! i will be embarking on a travel assignment at mlk / drew medical center in los angeles, ca. i am aware that the facility generally serves the indigent, which is a population that i love. does anyone have any other information on traveler experiences at this hospital? any input would be greatly appreciated.

Do a search here on the site and you will find some very interesting thread regarding many, many problems with this facility.

Do a google search and you will also find some very interesting news stories from the last couple of years.

The top 3 that come to mind would be the patient that was dead approximately 45 min or so before the monitor tech noticed around 0300, code run, pt was expired but documentation showed am lab drawn and morning po meds gived around 0500.

Another was about the overuse of tasers in the facility.
