Security Clearance Revoked

Question to the nursing community!! I recently was walked out of my place of employment and had my security clearance revoked. Does anyone know if this will affect me for applying at other institutions similar to where I was working, or any other place of employment that requires a security clearance? Didn't know if this security clearance was maybe specific to the place of employment I was at....I am in the state of VA. Thanks for any input..

Depends on the clearance and reason for revocation. If revoked for criminal charges, say you got drunk and killed a family of 5 charged with reckless homicide I'd say it will follow through to all employers.

This was a security clearance for a regional jail and I did not have criminal charges with this.....They just told me that I had to leave...When I spoke to the company they stated it said on my file that I lost my security clearance.....Do you have idea who I could call to see if or what this affects? I asked them at the time and they told me that they didn't know if this would affect any later jobs for me and that I should "just apply" and see if it goes through..personally I think they just wanted me to stop asking questions and be done with me

Perhaps run a background check on yourself or contact the correctional facility administration and/or human resources. It would seem you would be entitled to know what caused your clearance to be revoked.

When that happened to me I wasn't able to work for that company again (ex: blacklisted).

It's a long story, I'm not gonna get into specifics. But if you want to know PM me.

I was trying to PM you but the system is telling me that I have not had 15 topic posts so I can't PM anyone and this is one of their security features to make sure ppl are not abusing their system....Is there any other way we could message with each other? Thank you.
