Seattle anyone?

I'm thinking of making Seattle my next destination. Anyone have any experience working there? Especially in an ICU? Or know of a great neighborhood to live in ?:nurse:

I'm thinking about going in Feb/March after my current assignment ends.

Hey . . .

Seattle is awesome. A great city to travel to. I would recommend living in Belltown. It is right downtown by the water and is awesome housing. Swedish is a good hospital. I work NICU though so am not sure about ICU.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

I'm actually starting an assignment in Renton, WA which according to Mapquest is 10 miles outside of Seattle. I'm VERY much looking forward to my first time on the West coast. I have heard such great things about the Seattle area. I'll be at Valley Medical Hospital in L&D nights from Nov to Feb.

I'm EXCITED!!! :D

Hi carcam75,:) sending you you good wishes. I remember years ago how excited I was on my first assisgnment. In a small town in Colorado. Let us know how it goes!!!

Thanks, I'll def look into belltown. :)

Hi Bedpan! :)

Thanks for your well wishes. This is my first time on the West Coast, but not my first travel nursing assignment. It's actually my 4th. My first was at Morton Plant Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, FL. LOVED IT!! I get excited about ALL of my assignments because a new contract equates to a new experience... a new adventure. I just love travel nursing!!!
