SDSU BSN Fall 2020

Hi all! I applied to transfer to SDSU BSN program for fall 2020. I was wondering anybody here also applied SDSU to transfer so we could share info and help each other! Here is my stats:

Cumulative GPA: 4.0

Pre-reqs GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 85.0%

Have work experience

I have 69 points so far. Not sure if it is competitive enough since SDSU is tough to get into. As long as I checked a thread of Fall 2019, some people got accepted with 68 points, so finger crossed ... My TEAS is not really great so I am thinking to re-take it by the due of supplemental application as well.

Good luck to everyone!!

yes it is!! i’ve heard that the cutoff score for admission has been 64 points for the past few years, but who knows if its gone up ? however, i think you have a pretty good chance of getting in with the number of points you have!

Glad to see more people joined this thread!

I too am very nervous about the result. I ended up re-taking my TEAS test (second attempt AKA last attempt for SDSU!) to earn more points...

By the way, does anybody know when we get the notice of the admission? From what I see at the thread of 2019, I am guessing it will be around the beginning of March, but just wondering anybody inquired of SON?

I emailed the SON counselor regarding admissions and this is what he said:

”The School of Nursing is waiting for the transfer application file so that we can begin scoring, which we anticipate receiving sometime this week. It will take us a couple of weeks or so to work through it before we give our decisions to the Office of Admissions, who is the only office allowed to send out admission decisions. There's no way for me to know the point cutoff because it will depend on the applicant pool. “

Hey, everyone! I just wanted to relay some information that I got from my friend who's also applying to SDSU's nursing program this fall. She has a friend that is already in the program at State who inquired to the SON about the cutoff and when the decisions will come out. She said that acceptance for the first round will be sent out on Monday, March 2 and the cutoff for this fall is 68 points. She also said that they're accepting 33 transfer students this year. ?
