Anyone that received acceptance to EC or NL, on the uniforms flyer from packet it states that Majors Scientific Books, Inc. will be on campus. Goes on to talk about the fittings. So is Major Scientific Books Inc. the company that supplies our scrubs? I guess the "books" part made me think they would be soliciting books. I dont know, I think my head is still spinning on adrenaline from acceptance. I googled the name and it looks like scientific books, cant find scrubs?

Landau is the company who did the scrub fittings when I was admitted nearly two years ago. I haven't heard anything, through the grapevine, about any changes. In fact, the SNA is pretty good about collecting the graduating class' scrubs in order to resell to the new students at a discount. Word of advice, I would forgo purchasing the scrub pants that they offer, not only are they unbelievably ugly, but they're overpriced to boot. Just get one scrub top and the required lab coat (which you'll only use the first two semester for check-off - another waste of money, but you can't avoid it).
yeah it is easier to buy your own scrubs off the int or walmart or somewhere else, because most companies that try to sell it to the schools new incoming class will be taxing so hard. "taxing" means overpriced. thats just a word that we use around here. but i just recently went to majors about two weeks ago to get my EMT stuff, as for that stuff it is inexpensive. Uniform word in mesquite has inexpensive scrubs and there littmans are wayyy underpriced. so id head over there.

I heard that the scrubs need to have an El Centro patch. Where do you get the patch if you get your scrubs at WalMart?
they should have the patch in the bookstore
We had the scrubs fitting for Fall 09 newbies on Tuesday. This year they're not using patches, the El centro logo etc are embroidered on. Majors has a contract with a local embroidery company. The book box (and online access) is $810, but Majors gave us an $80 coupon to use if we buy from them rather than the bookstore, as well as a $10 gift card if we picked up our scrubs rather than having them mail them. So the books ended up being $791 when tax is added, from Majors. I understand that the El Centro bookstore said they would not match Majors' price. I'm gettin excited!
