Hello All,
Last week my lpn and rn gave me a task...I completed it with no problems. Only later I found out that I wasnt suppose to do it!!! I'm wondering if anything comes of it, would I get in trouble if I honestly didnt know it was outside my scope? Or would it fall back on them?

you are responsible for knowing what you are allowed to do as an RN, at least that is what has been repeatedly beaten into me so far during nursing school. We are also taught that we are responsible for knowing our own state's nurse practice act....I hope the task doesn't get you into too much trouble, but we've been told we could lose our licenses over things like that!
Not that we know for sure, but I get the impression that the OP is not an RN----why would an LPN be giving an RN a task that may be out of scope? OP! Come back and clarify please!
well even as a tech you are responsible for knowing what you are allowed to do....
