Schools and teas testing limits

First off, I'm from California (just in case it helps with my question) and I'm just confused with the limitations on the amount of times some schools allow you to take the teas test. Some schools say that you are only allowed to take the teas twice or repeat it only once and that they accept the highest score out of the two, which I understand. The part that I'm wondering about is.. if other schools state that you are allowed to take it 3 times, can you take it without it interfering with the schools that don't allow a third try? My score wasn't great the first or second try (which disappoints me to no end) but it was enough to still apply to some schools. I know some schools like Sac State allow a third try but I'm worried that if I do take it another time, it'll somehow interfere with the limit of some schools in only accepting two scores.

Thanks in advance for helping me out!

I would call the schools, you should be fine though (the schools that only allow 2 can just look at the first 2, the schools that allow 3 can look at all 3).

The local nursing program permits only 2 tries. If you don't achieve the minimum score and want to continue your application you must take (and pay for out of pocket) a TEAS remediation course from the school testing center before you can take a third (final) test.

Since policies vary by school, why not contact the admissions or academic advisement departments at the school(s) you are most interested in?

Thank you for responding back! I appreciate it. I'll probably call the schools like you suggested to make sure.
