Welcome to AN! Yes, there are things that nurses must do for patients that those patients aren't going to find comfortable. However, it is part of the overall plan of care to get that patient back to a better level of health. You also aren't going to be going in and doing things like blood draws or IVs your first class- those are things that you're going to work up to.

What Rose Queen said! Your program will start you off slowly. Chances are first week will be mostly theory stuff. You'll start with skills like blood pressure, basic physical assessments, and taking a health history. Eventually you'll move into more complicated things. Hopefully you are in a program that will be supportive and you can bring up your fears with your instructors or other classmates. It is quite normal to be nervous before doing something new, but chances are once you get an opportunity to practice (and should also mention you'll probably do everything first on a manikin before humans) it won't actually be that bad.
