Scholarships/grants

Does anyone know of any scholarships or grants I can apply to in Texas or that will serve a Texas resident. I've been searching online, but everything I have found wants me to be a member or family member of a member of some organization. I was recently accepted into UTMB for the Spring semester, and though tuition isn't that high I know I'll have trouble covering it.

    Did you try the school financial aid, nursing and alumni offices? They are often the best sources for scholarships in your area. You can also check your state nurses and student nurses associations.
