I haven't started applying to nursing schools yet because I am still doing prereqs but I am trying to narrow down my top choices. Are there any nursing schools in Maryland (preferably closer to Baltimore or DC) that have some sort of scholars program... where they pay for most of your education and guarantee a job after you graduate? Can you arrange something with a hospital before you graduate? I'm not sure how everything works. Any thoughts are appreciated.

GBMC (Greater Baltimore Medical Center) in Towson has this scholarship thing where after your first semester, you work for them (I think part time while in school and fulltime out of school) and then you have to agree to work for them when you graduate. Does that make sense? Only after you've completed Fundamentals (1st semester). I would check their website to be sure. gbmc.org. I don't know of anymore in the area.
Thank you... I'll check it out!

Your best bet would be to check out the employers, not the schools. Clinical scholars programs have been drastically reduced in this economy. If a hospital has such a program, I don't think, in general, it is predicated on being enrolled in a specific school. I could be wrong. What I have seen at my school is that clinical scholarships are only offered to senior students entering their last semester and a track record of a great GPA in nursing school is one of the major requirements.
