Do you have to have a BSN or can you have an ADN to become a school nurse in Texas?

    It depends on the district. Most of the larger districts require BSN while some smaller districts employee ADNs or LVNs. 

    The Houston ISD waived the BSN requirement in 2020 because of the pandemic. I suspect that they will be grandfathered post pandemic, and the BSN requirement will reinstated (this is to keep nurses on the teacher pay scale).
